Linda Walters is the founder and top talent at CLAP Consulting

With over 20 years experience in sales operations and compensation management, she has designed, implemented and administered hundreds of sales compensation platforms for global companies. Her experience spans technology, Internet-based and consumer product companies.

Starting out as a business systems analyst and project manager, Linda moved on to sales operations management. She gained valuable experience in working with sales and business leadership teams to evaluate, update and modify compensation programs to meet objectives established in sales management plans. She was responsible for the technical and business support of sales teams of up to 4000 people with annual revenues of up to 1B. She tackled related legal, accounting, compliance and policy issues on a local, country or regional basis.

Linda improved forecast reporting to enable executive teams to have better visibility into future trends. She believes that all levels of sales management should have the necessary intelligence reporting to accurately forecast and analyze sales trends, gaps and opportunities. She also found ways to reduce costs and to raise quarterly revenue by developing metrics to measure growth and performance of sales teams.

With her experience in implementing Xactly Incent systems and as an independent consultant with Xactly IV certification, Linda is able to offer clients unique insights on selecting the optimum compensation management system. Using Salesforce.com, NetSuite, SAP, Siebel/Oracle and other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, she has spearheaded rollouts and trained sales organizations on their use. This makes her well positioned to integrate her clients’ compensation management systems with an existing or new CRM.

Linda’s goal is to leave her CLAP Consulting clients with a system that ensures pay-for-performance and drives achievement of sales and revenue targets.
